iRest (Integrative Restoration), known as “tools for life” is a trauma-informed meditation practice that recognizes our innate wholeness. Founded by a clinical psychologist, it’s a modern adaptation of the ancient practice of yoga nidra and has been shown in research to benefit PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and sleep. This workshop will cover the core principles of iRest and focus on one of the most important iRest tools, the Inner Resource, an inner sanctuary of calm, ease and well-being, you can access anytime in your everyday life.
We’ll end the workshop with an iRest yoga nidra practice so it can be helpful to have a resting surface to lie down on, whether that’s a yoga mat with pillow and/or blanket, couch or bed. (And yes, you can turn your camera off during the practice if you’d like.)
